“an unfortunate incident“
I had clients sailing on the Spirit of Nantucket on the Colonial America sailing when it hit whatever and started taking on water.
They had their cell phone so they called me. They named it “an unfortunate incident” and had a great sense of humor and adventure. They raved how well they felt the Cruise West staff handled everything. Having breakfast in their life jackets they said was a great dinning room photo op. They loved their hotel (Hilton I think they said) and the beautiful bus that was being used to continue their trip.
This was the last sailing for the Atlantic Coastal sailings on Cruise West. After this sailing the ship was to sail from Charleston all the way around to Seattle where it was to be in dry dock for refurbishment. She will sail next May with a new name and new look as the Spirit of Glacier Bay. Her tgIt will sail the wonderful Glacier Bay Highlights which has a focus on nature and spectacular time in Glacier Bay National Park.
