Passengers Push Plane to Gate
Hopefully, this is not a sign of how bad air travel is getting.
A low-fare Chinese air carrier recently made its passengers get out of the plane and assist the crew in pushing the plane from the taxi area to the gate. It took two hours to get the plane off the runway. The plane, a CRJ7, with 69 passengers and seven crew members on board, is a 20-ton, medium-sized aircraft, much smaller than the larger planes that U.S. carriers use.
Imagine this happening with a 60-90 ton 737.
