New Build Paddlewheeler on Mississippi
We will be offering American Cruise Lines’ sailings on the Mississippi, Ohio, Cumberland and Tennessee rivers in 2012.
Planned are Civil War-themed cruises, which will include a stop at Vicksburg National Military Park as well as other battle sights. They will offer historians on each sailing to further the education of the Civil War Theme.
American Cruise Lines’ new, 140-passenger sternwheeler, the Queen of the Mississippi, set to debut in summer 2012.
American Cruise Lines is the first company in 20 years to build a new, overnight paddlewheeler. Currently under construction in Salisbury, Md. This is very exciting for the small ship niche market as this area of rivers has been without a ship for a few years. We are seeing a pent up demand and the sailings will sell out early.
