Uniquely designed to navigate the inland waterways of the Pacific Northwest, American Cruise Lines’ American Constellation brings guests to beautiful ports the larger ships can’t access.
In the intimate atmosphere onboard, guests will find the largest staterooms in the industry, spacious lounges, as well as observation decks and private balconies that offer spectacular views of the passing landscapes.
American Constellation’s Story
In 2015, construction began on American Cruise Lines brand new coastal ship, the American Constellation at Chesapeake Shipbuilding of Salisbury, MD. She began cruising in May of 2017.
The name American Constellation was inspired by the long line of
American ships named Constellation who have represented and honored
the United States. The link between the USS Constellation and American
Constellation is stronger than simply the name. The original U.S. Naval sailing frigate of 1797 and one of American Cruise Lines’ newest ships were both built in Maryland shipyards, and American Constellation left for its first cruise from Constellation Pier right next to where the retired USS Constellation is docked.
This 175-guest, ocean capable vessel is the only fully stabilized ship in the region and has the largest staterooms of any small ship in Alaska. She caters to the discriminating eye of passengers looking for a high-end and intimate experience of a smaller ship. Well-appointed staterooms are the largest ever seen in this service and has tastefully furnished private balconies and room service. Additional features including Zodiacs and kayaks offer guests alternative ways to explore the exciting and historic American destinations.
